WSAAG
Contact Us
You can visit us at our monthly meetings or our sky viewing visitor nights at Linden Observatory in the Blue Mountains.
We recommend you attend two events (meetings or sky viewing nights) before deciding whether to become a member. This will give you a better idea of whether the club suits your needs.
However, we welcome visitors whether you are interested in joining or not.
All visitors need to book in advance by emailing us.

Monthly Meetings
We hold monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of each month (except January and December) at 7.30pm. Meetings are held in person at Kingswood, and also online using Zoom meeting software.
The meeting consists of 20-30 minutes of club business, followed by a talk by a guest speaker. Speakers are usually professional astronomers, or WSAAG club members. You can see a list of our previous speakers on our past speakers page.
If you would like to attend a monthly meeting, please email us and include:
The date you would like to attend
First and last names of all those attending
Whether you will attend in person or online
You will then be provided with the meeting location and Zoom link.
Note: The talks by our guest speakers vary greatly in academic level, but they are generally for an audience of high-school level and above.
Linden Observing Nights (Sky Viewing)
Sky viewing is held about twice a month on Satuday evenings around the time of the new moon at Linden Observatory. Visitors may attend on one evening per month. Check the dates of upcoming visitor nights on our Events Calendar. The Linden Trust, which owns the site, requests a donation of $10 per person which goes towards upkeep of the site.
If you would like to attend a viewing night please email us and include:
The date you would like to attend
First and last names of all those attending
Number of vehicles you will be bringing
For safety reasons we do not allow children under 12 to attend observing nights.
You are welcome to bring your own telescope if you have one. However, we do not offer any assistance in using it unless you are a member. On your first visit, we recommend looking through our telescopes instead.
If the session is cancelled due to bad weather you will be notified by email (usually the day before).
For more information (including location and map) see the Linden Observatory Page.
