Yaesu FT-897D

Hi All,

I have my FT-897D for sale.   Have upgraded and really could do with the space.

It comes in the original box with the following

Stock Standard Hand Microphone.
Linear Amplifier Keyer Interface
CAT/USB cable
FTL Meter (the large one)

I will be advertising it on VKHAM when someone decides to send me an authorising email. (its been 24 hrs now and Im starting to wonder)

I will also be taking it to the Wyong field day and depending on when I get up there (Im hoping to get there by 630am) will depend on whether or not I have it for sale from the back
of the car or not.

This unit is 4 months old, with the purchase date being 1/10/2009 with receipt viewable.  It has had the F1001 fuse blown, which has been repaired with a 1 Ohm 5W Wire Wound Resistor
and a Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient Fuse in series, thus any further overload conditions will be negated with the fuse being resettable by cycling power.

Regardless, this does not affect the radio in any way other than to improve on the circuit and the radio functions quite well any way and if you do not intend to run a
linear from it, or auto tuner, it will effect you even less.

As for price, I will leave that up to you.  All reasonable offers will be considered.   I am selling the lot as a set but am open to splitting the interface cables or meter from
the group if thats all you want.  The FTL is about 4 weeks old I think, will check receipt.

How was it there, please post a report here for those of us that had to work and miss it, also how much did you get for your radio, was it as much as you had hoped for?
