Hi everyone. Tomorrow night, Friday 26-02-10, I am attending my first club meeting at Geelong, 70KMs from my QTH of Colac VK3. My days of only being a SW listener are numbered! I will be going for which ever of the licences that are next. I really want to do the Standard but will do the Foundation first if the testing for the Standard is going to be too far into the future. I just want to get on the air and try to talk to you all. I will report back after I get home from the meeting. Exciting stuff! 73s Anthony in Colac VK3.

Congratulations on joining a local club and also for going for your license, your radio adventure will go into another level starting tonight. Listening is great, and you will probably still continue to do that even when licensed, however the ability to talk is just the most amazing thing, you will truly love it instantly as we all do. Please keep us posted with your progress and if you have any questions regarding exams etc. just ask them here on the forum, we will try to help you if we can.  Grin
